It is usually helpful to meet before the birth of your baby, but I understand that that's not always possible. At our initial in-home meeting we can discuss your particular needs and how I can best support you and your family.
Phone & Email Support
Once we have started working together, I am available to you during reasonable hours via phone, text, and email throughout the duration of my services.
Some Common Tasks I Will Perform:
~Educate and assist with newborn care, breastfeeding, sibling care, and postpartum recovery.
~Provide breastfeeding support and referrals.
~Assist with nursery set-up and organization.
~Run errands.
~Prepare meals.
~Assist with pet care.
~Perform light housekeeping duties like laundry, dishes, household tidying, etc.
Tasks I Will Not Perform:
~Diagnose illnesses, administer medications, or perform any clinical tasks, but I will offer referrals.
~Transport anyone in my vehicle, but I will ride with you in yours.
~Do any yardwork or heavy lifting.
~Perform major cleaning tasks like wash windows, mop floors, or scrub toilets.
~Act as a "night nanny" or babysitter. I am there to build your confidence and assist you, not take your place. However, I understand that sometimes you may need to leave the house without baby for doctor's appointments or just a long walk.
R a t e s
Daytime Rate (8am-8pm): $20/hour
Overnight Rate (8pm-8am): $25/hour
Postpartum doulas typically work with babies up to 12 weeks old (or longer in special circumstances). Depending on your family's needs and my availability, I could work anywhere from a few hours a week to everyday for the full 12 weeks. I prefer to work in 4-hour shifts so that I can be there for at least one feeding, but I am flexible, so please contact me to customize a schedule that works for you!
